We present three courses on ECG for Emergency Department staff, suitable for all levels of knowledge from beginner to advanced.


BEGINNER LEVEL

Suited for Nurses and Junior Doctors

Duration: 3:30 hrs

Programme

  1. Revision of basic conduction system of the heart
  2. Overview of P, QRS and T Waves
    • What do they represent?
    • What is normal?
  3. Rhythm Interpretation
  4. Basic Rhythm
 

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Suited for Nurses and Junior Doctors

Duration: 3:30 hrs

Programme

  1. Cardiac Axis
  2. Rhythm and intervention - basic Tachycardia & Bradycardia
  3. Introduction to 12 lead ECG
  4. ECG - tertiary relationship to coronary arteries
  5. Case-based scenarios
 

ADVANCED LEVEL

Suited for experienced Nurses and Senior Doctors

Duration: 8 hrs (includes lunch)

Programme

  1. STEMI – elevation
  2. Pseudo MI – ECG’s
  3. Blocks, Bifascicular, Trifascicular
  4. Tachycardia / Bradycardia intervention
  5. Advanced 12 lead ECG’s rhythms
  6. Case-based scenarios
